Spent the majority of the day assembling the boys' new dresser from Ikea. (click here) Wasn't too bad, except when Sam decided he wanted to help with the hammer. Too bad I only needed the hammer for about 5 things and the screwdrivers for the rest. I did have him "help" with that, but he didn't exactly understand that completely.
I'm not really sure how I feel about the whole idea of a large dresser in the bedroom. For the past three years, we've either had Sam's dresser in his closet or in our room. Just didn't want to chance him climbing it. And because we're in an apartment, stud finding isn't exactly easy to do.
But, now that we have a HUGE dresser, I want it accessible.
be back later...............Henry's waking up and I think the buzzer on the oven just went off too.

New Duck-isms
"that's it"
"fuuu cake" (fruitcake)
"let's see....um...no"
"let's see....um..yes"
"NO PAPA" (his response to anything my dad said to him during his three week stay"
Nana became "mom" during her visit.........most likely because that's all he heard me call her.
E became "honey" over the past month because that's what I call him
coke in a regular cup is "milk" but if it's in a restaurant cup, it's coke.
watermelon is known as fruit (of course it's the only fruit I can get him to eat lately)
dry-butt is code for diaper............and he knows the difference between a Duck dry-butt and an HJ dry-butt.
he's selective about what's on his dry-butts. i'm so proud of my little Duck.....he doens't like the "designer" pull-ups my parents bought, you know the name brand ones with Cars on them. Nope, my little money saver prefers to see the monkeys on the Target brand! He even ASKS for a dry monkey!
more days of no hitting at school. WOOOOHOOOO
and he's pooped on the potty even more.

IF YOU GIVE A MOM A MUFFIN...
If you give a mom a muffin,
She'll want a cup of coffee to go with it.
She'll pour herself some.
Her three-year-old will spill the coffee.
She'll wipe it up.
Wiping the floor, she'll find dirty socks.
She'll remember she has to do laundry.
When she puts the laundry in the washer,
She'll trip over boots and bump into the freezer.
Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan for supper.
She will get out a pound of hamburger.
She'll look for her cookbook ("101 Things To Do With a Pound of Hamburger").
The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail.
She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow.
She will look for her checkbook.
The check book is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two-year-old.
She'll smell something funny.
She'll change the two year old's diaper.
While she is changing the diaper, the phone will ring.
Her five-year-old will answer and hang up.
She'll remember she wants to phone a friend for coffee.
Thinking of coffee will remind her that she was going to have a cup.
And chances are...
If she has a cup of coffee,
Her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it.
